Is a mandate required to take my property to auction?
A Merafi Auctions sole mandate is required. The term is usually for 60 calendar days, giving us time to market effectively or sell privately if required.
What is the duration of the advertising campaign?
Your property will be advertised for a period of 3 weeks prior to the auction to ensure maximum market exposure and buyer interest.
What is the cost of the marketing campaign?
Budgets range from R10,000 to R30,000 depending on the value of your property. Details are fully explained in the Exclusive Marketing Mandate.
What happens if the property is sold at a lower price than mandated?
The property is sold subject to confirmation by you, the Seller. You have 3 business days to decide whether to accept an offer below the mandated price.
What happens if guarantees are not lodged by the Buyer?
The Buyer is in breach and the 10% deposit is forfeited. The Seller will then have claim on the 3.5% residual deposit, and the property will be re-auctioned.
